“…He works through these hands and so these hands are Holy…” -a song I always loved growing up.

1 Timothy 2:8 NIV “Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing.”

Psalm 28:2 NIV “Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.”

This weekend I had the opportunity to wait on a customer who was wearing cotton gardening gloves. It was so hot outside, so I knew she didn’t need them for temperature control. I excused myself from work for a minute and took her and her daughter to the side. I asked her if she had contact dermatitis. I recognized the same symptoms as I am allergic to my work chemicals. We talked for a minute and I asked her what she did for a living. She is a midwife. Oh my, talk about Holy Hands!

God definitely works through her hands. I took her hands and asked her if I could pray with her. Right there, right then at the arts and crafts festival. With tears in her eyes, she accepted my prayers. She took off her gloves and showed me her hands. It was my time to cry then…….

When you feel that gentle nudge to step out of your comfort zone, please listen to the Holy Spirit and do what is asked of you. Please join me in a prayer to restore her hands back to health. He works through her hands delivering babies. That is a miracle in itself. You will be blessed.

Acts 4:30 NIV “Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
