Lean into Jesus Ministries is a discipleship ministry. Our team includes women from several Christian denominations who desire to encourage and equip other women on their journey with Jesus Christ. We recognize that denominations differ in doctrinal beliefs. This ministry chooses to focus on what we have in common – a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

 

The ministry name, Lean into Jesus, was derived from our desire for a close relationship with our Savior. We do not want to watch Him from a distance; we want to be near. At the Last Supper, the disciple John leaned in close to Jesus when he spoke with Him. When we sincerely want to hear what someone has to say, it is very natural to incline our ear toward them or to “lean in.” The same is true when we want our words to be clearly understood. We lean toward the person we speak to. We desire to hear Jesus clearly and to share with Him the desires of our hearts. We want to “lean in” to Jesus Christ, our Savior.

 

James 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you,” is Lean into Jesus Ministries’ promise verse. We long for a closer walk with our Father God, fully trusting that in doing so, He will draw near to us. Our call is to serve Him by serving others.
