It’s true. The overwhelming reckless love of God is so much more than you would ever expect. Even with our imperfections, He freely gives it to us.

We have been trusted with some precious cargo this week as we take four teenagers on vacation. We can only reflect on how there seems to be more responsibility in place when you add to your “normal” cargo.

I wonder what God feels like with his precious cargo all the time. We only have ours for a week. We hope to show His love as we extend our family time with others. Neither of our guests has ever been to the mountains. I pray the Lord blesses us with beautiful weather, bear sightings, laughter, and the overwhelming reckless love of God.

We hope to unplug, relax, and enjoy today, tomorrow and the rest of the week. I encourage you to accept the love of God this week in whatever form it comes to you. Whether it is a sighting of an eagle, an unexpected ice cream, a new home, accomplished work, or the sun shining, know that it is all God. He works through others all the time. Take the time to listen and build relationships.

Sometimes you are blessed abundantly when you least expect it. Recognize the overwhelming, reckless love of God.
