Seems like such an elementary truth for a seasoned believer, right? Yet, as I sit here this morning still paralyzed by fear over writing this blog post, I realized it’s the one truth that will set me free.
I’m sure many of you have experienced the same thing. You sense the Holy Spirit leading you into a new place of ministry or asking you to step out of your comfort zone into something new and the moment you make the choice to be obedient is the same moment the enemy begins his attack. What one moment before seemed like the greatest possibility has now become a source of fear and dread. And that, my sisters, is exactly where the enemy wants you.
I’m so glad that Paul reminds us in his letter to the Philippians that the enemy really is the father of lies. Paul says the truth is that “we can do ALL things through Christ”. What an incredible promise. One that we need to be reminded of daily!
So the next time you think you can’t share the love of Jesus with a stranger, you can. When you think you don’t have what it takes to lead that bible study, you can. When you think you’re too scared to speak in public, you can. When you don’t think you can forgive someone, you can. And when you don’t think you can write a blog, you can.
It’s time to start speaking out the truth over all the lies of the enemy. David said in Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him”! When you make the decision to step out in faith you will see the Lord’s goodness. You will experience his strength and in turn be filled with joy.
I’m praying today that we will be women who truly believe in our hearts that through Christ Jesus we can do anything He asks us to.
