As we were driving home from church today I began to think of the many wonderful characteristics of God. There are so many how do we start to even describe just one? As we traveled down the road the one that began to form in my mind was this picture of Christ, one hand reaching toward humanity, and the other hand reaching to the heavens joining us together God and man. The realization of what that truly means is just so mind boggling, but oh so humbling. He is the middle man for all mankind when we could not reach heaven, Christ stood in the gap for us to have that access into the creator of the universe.

As I pondered these things I began to see He is so many things to us! He is the bridge that unites us to the other side. He is the path when we don’t see the way. He is the rock when everything around me is sinking. He is the light when darkness engulfs me. He is the vine, the very essence of my ability to branch out into new growth. He is the tree of life from which all knowledge can be found. He is the pillar, the foundation on which I stand. He is the cool wind, refreshing my brow with anticipation of a lighter days ahead. He is the needed rain that fills my weary soul from thirst. He is my peace when all we see is confusion and sadness around.

These are just a few attributes I thought of in a very short time, but the descriptions are endless. The opportunities are vast to thank and praise him for all that He is to me.

Thank you Jesus for everything you are and will be for eternity! I love you Lord and I lift my voice in honor and praise for all things you have done!
