Each month I serve Jesus by serving at a food drive at my church. I see a lot of the same people, mainly the elderly. These are people who worked hard all of their lives. They sacrificed so much for their families for many years. Every morning, before we serve guests, we pray and ask God to minister through us to all the people that drive upon the property. We ask him to bless the food and make it more than enough.
At our recent drive, I witnessed God move powerfully. It was a beautiful August morning. Cars lined up to receive spiritual encouragement and food. Fifty-nine out of sixty boxes of food were distributed. We do not usually give this much food away, but due to the pandemic, more people needed a little extra help.
Only one box was left when two cars pulled up -at the same time. One car had two ladies (from different families), the other a gentleman. Our volunteers begin to discuss how we would take care of three families with one box of food, two bags of snacks, and a few drinks.
As we stood questioning what we would do, a truck pulled up. A young man from our church jumped out and said, “I have five boxes of food to give away.” Everyone started praising God! We were so thankful to see how God supplied the need just in time. Our God is amazing. We were able to bless these families with more than we ever dreamed.
God is always on time. He never fails us nor forsakes us. We can trust him and know that whatever we need, He is here! My heart was so full that beautiful August day. I saw how God provided for the people in immediate need. He loves us so much and caries for our every need.
As I left the food drive, my thoughts went to God’s word:
Philippians 4:19: “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (KJV)
When we trust in God,
Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)
We must hide his word in our hearts.
Psalm 119:11: “I have hidden your word in my heart…” (KJV)
Nothing will be impossible.
Luke 1:37: “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (ESV)
If we believe,
Matthew 21:22: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (NIV)
God will supply the needs of His children, right on time, every time. Look for the miracle He has waiting for you.
