You know that moment when you’re driving and you see a police car with their blue lights on……….PANIC!

Did I do something wrong? Was I speeding?  Did I run through that red light a little too close? Where is my insurance card?  Do I have my seat belt on?  Oh no, I forgot my wallet and I have my house shoes on.  Even if we’ve done nothing wrong, we panic.  Are we prepared for the police officers questions?

BEING PREPARED……

Matthew 24:44 ESV “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Prepared….are we prepared to meet Jesus?

Have we accepted Him as our personal savior?  Do we believe that He died on the cross for our sins?  Have we confessed that He is Lord? It really is as simple as ABC.  Accept.  Believe.  Confess.

1Corinthians 16:13 ESV says, “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.” And ….

Matthew 25:13 ESV reminds us, “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

I would like to encourage you to remember while driving our cars, to honor Christ in all we do.  That way we will stop looking behind us for blue lights in that small rearview mirror, but look ahead of us in the great big windshield for ways to continually honor our mighty Savior.
